This is rare and exciting opportunity exists for a conscientious and experienced individual to assist and support in the management of the operation of the NZ Distribution Centre to ensure the most effective, cost efficient and timely movement of all products, and achieve optimal usage of the NZDC.

Reporting to the NZ Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible to assist and support in the day to day management of our busy distribution centres, ensuring the timely and cost efficient movement of goods and providing leadership to the Warehouse team to ensure service standards are met.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing end-to-end warehousing and transportation operations, ensuring adherence to agreed processes and KPI targets.
  • Managing all required warehouse resources to achieve the operational plan
  • Leading and inspiring a team of 50 members to ensure customers receive exceptional service through ongoing improvement to operations and company procedures
  • Focused on managing key resources while ensuring optimisation of inventory and management of costs within budget
  • Accurate inventory management of stock between two sites
  • Drive health and safety on site, fostering a safe and productive workplace whilst ensuring compliance on H&S regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee equipment and building maintenance, ensuring all facilities are safe and operational.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing cost-effective solutions

To be considered, you will have extensive warehouse and logistics experience gained within a similar environment. Your strong influencing skills and clear communication style will be pivotal to building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and well-developed people management skills to lead and manage your team will be paramount.
